At 61, I work out five times a week, run a 10k race most months, regularly take part in parkruns, and have the cardiovascular age of someone more than a decade younger.
I genuinely feel fitter, stronger and more energetic than at any other point in my life.
I haven't always been this way.
In my twenties, I was a chain smoker. Exercise barely featured in my life and I spent years trapped in the familiar cycle of crash dieting, emotional eating and weight fluctuations.
Then, in my late forties, my health collapsed following a severe adverse reaction to prescribed medication.

Over the course of a year, I became largely housebound and gained four stone. The medications caused a range of devastating physical and psychological side effects, and I found myself relying on cigarettes and alcohol because they provided temporary relief from some of those symptoms.
Recovering from that experience changed the course of my life.
I made a decision that my health would never again be an afterthought.
Within months I had lost the four stone, completed my first marathon and went on to run four more. I trained as a Level 3 Personal Trainer and became fascinated by the science of fitness, nutrition, behaviour change and healthy ageing.
As a documentary filmmaker, I had already spent months interviewing some of the world's leading experts on obesity, metabolism and weight loss while making a film about extreme obesity. What I discovered was that much of what people believe about weight loss, fitness and metabolism is incomplete, confusing, or simply wrong.
Today, I combine coaching, personal training and accountability to help clients improve their health, fitness and energy in a way that is realistic, sustainable and tailored to their lives.
Why So Many People Stay Stuck
One thing I've noticed repeatedly is that many intelligent, successful people feel powerless when it comes to their health.
They've tried diets, slimming clubs, fitness programmes and healthy eating plans. They know they should eat better and exercise more, yet they often feel confused by conflicting advice and frustrated by results that don't last.
Many assume that because they're eating salads they should be losing weight. Others blame menopause, age or a slow metabolism. Some spend hours exercising yet never understand why the scales don't move.
The problem is rarely a lack of intelligence. More often, it's a lack of knowledge.
Many people have never been taught the fundamental principles that drive weight loss, fitness and long-term health. As a result, they end up feeling frustrated, confused and increasingly critical of themselves.
My role is to replace confusion with understanding, and then turn that understanding into practical action.

My signature four-week programme is designed for people who feel stuck, frustrated with their health, or unable to gain traction despite repeated attempts.

In Person (West London): £700
The programme includes:

Clients typically finish the programme feeling clearer, more confident and more in control, with practical strategies they can continue long after the programme ends.
Personal Training
Bespoke one-to-one personal training sessions tailored to your goals, fitness level and experience.
Whether you want to lose weight, build strength, improve fitness, increase muscle tone or train for an event, sessions are designed around you.
Online: £50 per 45-minute session
In Person (West and Central London): £70 - £95 per 45-minute session, depending on location. I can come to your home, your office, your gym or we can do sessions in a park.
Ongoing Health Coaching
Many clients choose to continue working with me after completing the Health & Energy Reset.
This can include ongoing coaching, accountability, support around emotional eating, weight loss, habit change, fitness goals and long-term health.
Programmes are tailored to your individual needs and discussed during your consultation call.

A Final Word

I know what it feels like to be not in control of your fitness and eating because I've been there too.
I've been overweight and underweight. I've struggled with emotional eating, crash dieting and fitness inconsistency. The reason I coach in this area is because I've experienced both sides of the journey.
Most of the time I eat well, exercise regularly and take care of my health. But I also enjoy meals out, celebrations, holidays and the occasional indulgence.
And I'd be lying if I told you there aren't still moments when life feels overwhelming and I find myself drowning my sorrows in a family-sized packet of Doritos rather than lighting candles, taking a few deep breaths and practising some beautifully curated self-care ritual.
The difference is that those moments happen less often than they used to. I understand what's going on when they do happen. I don't beat myself up. And I don't turn one difficult day into a difficult month. I've learned how to get myself back on track quickly and compassionately. That's what I help my clients do too. Because health isn't about perfection. It's about building the knowledge, habits and self-awareness that allow you to take care of yourself consistently over time.
The goal isn't to become someone else.
The goal is to become a healthier, stronger and more energised version of yourself.
